Mission statement

*7 is a Charlotte-based art zine made for and from DIY culture and focused on the weird, the experimental, and the new. It is collaged from the mole skins of local weirdos and dedicated to promoting their voices. . The goal of 7 is to inspire YOU to create, contribute, and collaborate; to create a community of believers rooted in a cycle of support, inspire, and create. Read it, use it, draw in it, show it some love, keep it by your desk, rip out pages and pin em to the wall for inspo, or just pass it on to somebody who needs it.

Who we are.

We are here to provide new creatives and ideas with a platform to experiment with their art form free from capitalist & people-pleasing worries that can restrict creative freedom. We value new ideas, experimentation, and creativity above all else for those are the principles that we believe leave an impact and inspire others to try something new. This zine was created and is run by Alonsoh Morning. It came into existence in a tattered composition notebook on a whim and was molded by an alternative taste in music, a basic grasp on graphic design fundamentals, and a love for DIY.

Got a weird piece of something that hasn’t found a home yet? The kind that makes people go “huh” and “I should put this back where I found it.” Then email it to us, ya lil freak! If it can be printed, we’ll take it. Please know that not all submissions will be included, but all will be appreciated <3 we’re running on a highly organized system of “if we think it’s cool/interesting/would fit in.”
